The hold in the endzone... was it a safety?
If you were the ref that reversed the call, how could you explain to me that the hold on Abe was not a safety?
According to what the ref determined, it was a screen play and therefore not a safety. |
I need to see it again phocis. Need to see if someone has a copy of that play on Youtube.....
|
I don't think I've ever seen that before. I'm glad it went in our favor, but I'm confused about why it was reversed. Maybe someone who knows the rules better than me can explain it.

Ask Mike Peirira?
|
Yea, I'm not one to harp on refs "assisting" a team, but that call was a flagrant as you can get. I understand a few homeristic calls from time to time, but it clearly wasn't the Falcons day to walk into the dome. I could point to 3 other penalties that really could have been called differently, but the most intriguing was the safety call.

HEY I resemble tha remark!! |
homertastic

The refs explained it as the RB was trying to get loose, so maybe they are meaning that abraham stopped the RB, and they all got hit together and fell to the ground lol
|
Did no one hear the explanation? I was there. It was a screen and the lineman was shedding the block. That is a legal play.
|
Yes it was a legal play.
The play was not reversed... they didn't call a penalty. |
