Joe Horn is a idiot.

\"What do you want him to say? Their better than us, their going to the playoffs, we\'re not, we can\'t beat them, our season is over. \"
1. They are better than us. (record, stats, and heart show that) 2. Atlanta has a good shot if we, have to play them again. 3. No, that would be another year (17 so far) of hoping, praying, and not claiming the prize. No doubt, This is a guy we need. But the evidence hold true. We look even worse when we lose, and he\'s on the ESPN highlights like this. One mans TD catches, and yard. DO NOT WIN GAMES. All I am saying is if you talk this way you better have your TEAM together with you. That\'s what I think a leader does. Yes, we have more players, good players, doing us proud. But if this keeps up, San Diego will be on TV for us all. (and our team in N.O.) And I definetly am not mad becase of losing the game, we have lost alot of games. But our players have rarely been in the spot light (expected to go to the big show). Just my way of saying time to do a gut check. |

#1. the falcons are not better then us, joe horn was right in saying we should have scored 50 on them, b/c we should have. mcarthy called a conservative game, and played right into wade phillips\' D\'s hands.
#2. its hard to beat a team 2 times in a row, much less 3 #3. the season isnt over yet, like gator said, 49ers lost, packers lost, philly lost mcnabb, TB has tough games ahead of them, against saints, 49ers, pack and falcons, the season is still up for grabs. #4. we beat ourselves against the falcons, we should have won, but we played down to our competition again. #5 he was in the highlights b/c he made a spectacular play, and that what we needed at that time in the game, was a spectatular play, and JOE HORN delivered. we were still in it until the interception at the beginning of the 4th quarter. #6 we havent lost a lot of games, we are 7-3. thats a 70% winning percentage. if you look at the rest of the league, most are 6-4, or 4-6 or 5-5. #7 we are still just one game behind TB for the division league, and we play them again in 2 weeks. the season if far from over, its still only just the beginning. |

From ESPN. Saints power ranking number 7
Buc\'s number 1 Atlanta number 8 \" We\'d say the loss to the Falcons should quiet Joe Horn down a little bit, but it probably won\'t. \" Hey Joe Just keep quiet Joe. \"Talk when you Claim the prize\" Or Talk as loud as you want. \"but remember you\'ll look even funnier if you and your team don\'t back it up\" |

What this team needs is motivation to live up to its potential and in my opinion, what\'s needed more than anything else is more talk like that coming from Horn right now.
How do coaches get their teams fired up? With pounding speeches that let them know that they are better than their opponents. What is \"home field advantage\" all about? It\'s about having the home crowd behind you to cheer you to victory. Yeah, Horn talks a big game. And at least in my opinion, he has backed it up by being one of the best not just clutch 3rd down receivers, but one of the very best receivers in the entire league. If more SAINTS players thought the way Horn does and played the way he does all the time, I can guarantee you the SAINTS would have at least one fewer loss at this point. Motivation counts! So kkep it up Joe Horn. Hopefully, the rest of the team will get the picture and rally around that enthusiam down the stretch. Go Joe Horn!!!!! Go SAINTS!!!!! David in Houston |

Hey guys. No disrespect meant to be sent from this direction. And I\'m not back peddling here either. I can not dispute that Joe is a raw talent. one of the best if not the best receivers I have ever seen in a saints uniform. All I have to do is look at his stats to see that plain as day. but Joe is one man speaking for a team, not a team speaking for themselves. ? Ok, I\'ll drop this one for now. just a random rant. and something to look into. But let me ask do anyone of you like, listen to, or respect what says Shannon Sharp? Deon Sanders? A class act does it differently, I think..

Da_La,
I agree with your point that there are a number of high profile \'talkers\' out there that certainly say more than any of us care to here. Fortunately, I can\'t quite put Horn in the same category yet. Yes he does more than his share of talking, but no where near what I\'ve seen/heard form the likes of Dione or some of the rest. But, there is always the chance he could make that leap. I think some degree of talk just comes with the game the way it is played today. The best teams stay that way not only because they play solid football, but also because they put doubt (and sometines fear) in their opponents minds. Psyching out an opponent before a game can go along way towards doing the same during the game. So in my book, talk has its place, as long as it doesn\'t get out of hand, and I don\'t believe Horn is out of hand. Anyway, I am still just glad that someone is stepping up and telling the rest of the league that the SAINTS are not a beaten team that is down for the count. Go SAINTS!!!!! David in Houston |

i love joe not only b/c he talks a good game but he does back it up, i think that if u want to run your mouth that u have to back it up, and joe does just that, every single sunday he plays his best game, and i think joe not only talks from his head, but he is also talking from his heart, and he believes that the saints are better than any of their opponents, so joe, keep dat mouth a movin!!
