Begining of the end?
Don't take this as Saint's bashing, I've been a Saints fan for 33 years and I'm not going to throw in the towel but I have some personal observations and questions.
Is last years colapse about to take place again? We had high hopes going into a prime time game against the Rams, scored and botched an onside kick and watched the season evaporate. This year we get Tampa , the Division leader, on prime time and if we lose this one we are in a dog fight for the last wild card with probably the Rams, Atlanta will get the 1st wild card if not the division. We have lost 2 of the last 3 games and looked real bad in the last 2. If the performance doesn't improve we may win 2 of the last 6 and be on the outside looking in. :( I hate to sound pessimistic but I have a bad feeling about what I have seen. I sure hope I'm wrong, but I'll be pulling as hard as I can till the end of each game. Any reassurances for a worried mind? "Geaux Saints" |

Begining of the end?
JM,
I hope you are wrong. I still believe we have the talent to win the majority of our remaining games, as long as we don\'t suffer much more in the injusry dept. and if we can get some consistency out of our d-line. As I said in another post today, maybe its time to scour the field for a good, experienced free agent defensive lineman or two that may somehow be looking for a job at this point in the season. Anything has got to help at this point. Go SAINTS!!!!! David in Houston |

The Saints have to play these games with playoff intensity. Mental mistakes must be eliminated. Hard every down. We are supposed to win now. When the Saints have loss its been mental errors that killed us. Injuries as well, but that\'s the game and now people are getting healthy. If the defense continues to improve and the offense and special teams get back in sync...we - could - go- all - the- way. But its gonna take playoff level play. There has to be a step-up.
