mike nolan built that niner team thats going to the nfc championship. a. smith, gore, v. davis, p. willis, goldson, t. brown, j. staley, a. brooks, a. snyder were all drafted by mike nolan. he also brought in justin smith as a free agent in 2008.

Found out from my son that Jack Del Rio was at his high school checking it out for his son. There is at least one more Saints coach that has a son at the same school. Apparently its the school he will attend next year....so take that as you wish. I agree that the d should have stepped it up with 9 secs. left to go, but you have to admit the offense and special teams gave that game away. The defense did hold them back most of the game.

any of them would be better than Gregg Williams. I'd like Spags or Nolan. I think being a head coach in J-ville for so long may have tainted Del Rio...lol j/p

I've always liked Jack Del Rio. Would love to have him as our defensive coordinator. He has a knack for bringing out the best in mediocre players. Plus.....the guys a Saint at his core anyway!

If we got Spagnuolo, the rest of the league would be in trouble.

Spags, is too much like GW. HE might do it right but it is obvious with our current Defensive players it will take a year or so for him to hit stride... if he can hit a stride.
Nolan has a good eye but I don't know how well he coaches. The Broncos did well but it only lasted what? a year? I don't know if he has the gusto, but his dad did coach the Saints so that is a plus. Del Rio is a local guy who has not only played for the Saints but coached for them already. He has one season as DC and did awesome. So I say Del Rio |

Anybody but GW? Don't forget GW's son is coaching on the team as well. Does that mean we are hiring two coaches?
