What I meant was that I'm not sure if he'd be willing to be an OLB in a 4-3 after making the switch to being a 5-tech to accommodate the 3-4.
Naturally he could be a DE for the Saints, but most of the discussion has revolved around the idea of him being an OLB for the Saints. I know that there's not much difference between being a DE in a 4-3 as opposed to being an OLB in a 3-4, but I was just wondering if he preferred that spot and scheme now that he made the transition. |

He already was a Pro Bowl 4-3 DE, so maybe he wants this new challenge of becoming as dominant in this new position as he was in the earlier one? He was injured this past season and maybe he wants to give it another shot, and hoping he can have a full season to master the new position. Now I'm not saying that is the case or that if it would ultimately affect his decision of which team he signs for... I was merely speculating as we have nothing else to do these days. |
