we all know we need the base of this defense to have any chance of a superbowl in 12. who the base is well thats what spags needs to figure who stays who trades and who gets wacked. there has to be change we all agree.

The things that people don't think about regarding Vilma are his leadership ability and his ability to read D's. We could get more physical LB's but i think his leadership is important.

Subguy, I agree.

Look at what Ryan Clark does for the Steelers. Troy Polamalu is a far superior Safety but without Clark back there calling plays the defense is out of position.

Of course, another player could do that but think of him as a coach that's on the field. With all new coaches on the sideline he could be an important intermediary for the remaining players.
