Potential Super Bowl halftime acts?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I always felt like Kiss would be really good for a Super Bowl halftime show, and am kinda baffled that they've never done it on their own. They have the spectacle, the breathing fire, the costumes, smoke, all that fun ...

I always felt like Kiss would be really good for a Super Bowl halftime show, and am kinda baffled that they've never done it on their own. They have the spectacle, the breathing fire, the costumes, smoke, all that fun stuff, and have just enough songs that everyone knows, to last the needed 15-20 minutes. I mean I'm not like a huge passionate KISS fan or something stupid like that, I just thought they'd be kinda good for it.

I caught 10-15 minutes of a recent concert on Palladium while flipping channels, and honestly, it wasn't pretty watching grandpas try to pretend they are still in their 20's and it's still the 70's. One thing is to have The Who, who were much more about the music, than a group like Kiss, who were much more about the show... I'm telling you, man: watching Paul Stanley with those spandex pants looking like a muffin, just sad...

Don't get me wrong, I still love the tracks, but the show, better leave that one in the past and our memories where it belongs.

'Cause the simple man pays the thrills, the bills and the pills that kill

Now, this is a great idea. However, given that the Saints are going to play the SB in NO this season, I don't know if the NFL is going to be down with a Second Line playing "When The Saints Go Marching In" to close the show

Its not about the music, its about the show.

Thats an entirely different perspective from what music you prefer.

Any heavy metal band just ain't gonna cut it.

I hate Madonna's music, but that was the best halftime show I've ever seen at a Superbowl.
