He's not worth that. He's good but not great. Not super speedy. And some injury concerns. He's a product of Drew Brees throwing to him. The ball placement is unreal.

7x3yrs isn't bad at all. 4mil signing = 25mil. That we can do.
He put a number out there so the bidding can begin. Saints will rank him, value him and hope he doesn't want to walk away from Brees and disappear into oblivion. |

Most of us were thinking that they'd start negotiating at 8 mil. I think 7 is awesome and right in line with what we'd need to sign him at. That makes our top 3 much more signable.

Not worth 7 million, you've got to be kidding me. Clearly 5 thousand yard seasons in 6 years isn't worth that. But a guy like Vincent Jackson(statistics below), is worth 10+ a year. Vincent Jackson Stats - San Diego Chargers - ESPN Surely you can see how your statement is retarded to the tenth degree. How about I say Wes Welker is a product of Tom Brady. Reggie Wayne a product of Peyton Manning. "Super speedy" means absolutely nothing as far as football is concerned. They're playing football out there, not running track. |
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

Well, let's hold San Diego up as a model front office of how the Saints should pay their guys! San Diego's front office are after all, a model team whose front office the Saints should try and emulate, right? Right? They never overpay anybody, keep every free agent they need to, and every trade they make out there in San Diego turns out golden for the team, right? Right?

BTW Drew Brees is phenomenal, dont get me wrong but at times his throws leave recievers open to get smashed. I'll give you a couple of my favorite video examples if you dont believe me!!!! Colston took a physical beating this season including a seperated sholder were he sold out to make a play in Green Bay, he never gives up on plays ( ala Randy Moss, and to some extent V, Jax) 7 mil per is stealing from is honestly stealing from him. |
