Parameters for a Colston deal

Bills re-signed WR Stevie Johnson to a five-year, $36.25 million contract.

The move will be officially announced at a 10AM ET press conference on Monday. The deal includes $19.5 million guaranteed, and will pay Johnson over $24 million in its first three years. Johnson was seeking roughly $8 million annually. The 2008 seventh-round pick is now signed through 2016, when he will be 30. He's posted an average line of 79/1,039/8.5 since being inserted into the starting lineup in 2010.

I guess in a way, the market has been set.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

All little common sense goes a long way.

Three year deal for Colston.
He's already 28. How many more years can he stretch out and then take the lick.
Lot's of teams can out bid us for a lot of our FA's.
Hopefully, greater than even odds for a SB run, will appeal to the kind of veteran talent
our limited funds can afford.
