NO matter what happens we are going to go out there and win our Super Bowl in our house anyway. I don't care if that jackass of a comissioner suspends everyone. We will come on strong at the end of the year and take it all.

I don't think that we will be allowed to. As in, you can bet your ass that the refs will be out to throw a flag at anything the Saints do this year, (more so than they have in the past).

Yeah just after Mardi Gras I met these two dudes at my neighborhood bar, they were from out West and were visiting in town for a convention or something. They asked me about the Saints and the whole Super Bowl being in New Orleans thing, what I thought of it, and I said to them that: IF the Saints get some momentum going, IF they can get to 10 or 11 wins in Nov/December and are playing good ball, then it's all over -- they will get hot at the right time and absolutely go all the way. This was before all this **** with Brees and the bountgate happened, but I still haven't changed my opinion about that. If they can get to 10 or 11 wins -- maybe 10-0, 10-2, 11-2, 11-1, something like that -- then this team will get HOT, and they will be pretty near unstoppable. Who Dat!

Was over it after a day. No point in sulking about it. Just roll with the punches and move on. The Saints are still in New Orleans, we still have Drew Brees ,we'll still be contending for a Superbowl next year.
We're good. |

Maybe Spagnuolo will just hold back paychecks for non-performance.

We still have no concrete evidence that Brees is looking for 23 million a year. It's still just hear say and media produced numbers... nothing has been official. There is still time to knock out a long term deal which we should be confident will happen.

What I DO know is that the NFL revels in its violent past and encouraged players to become bigger and faster and meaner. Now with the lawsuits the NFL has over the last few years become 'concerned' (cough cough) about player safety. Yeah, tell that bull sh*t to the jury, cause I didn't just fall off the turnip truck. The 'toughness' of the Oakland Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Dallas Cowboys of the 70's, and for that matter our very own DOME PATROL from the 80's, is legendary and still marketed by those teams AND the league to this day. You can find the leagues very own Television Network paying homage to them on just about any day of the week. Hell, the media would rather show a big hit than a big touchdown to this very day. Those of you who are losing sleep over this better get over it. The league is going to do what it's going to do. This is what the game we love has come to. Accept it and move on or start watching Hockey. |

... it is the NFL offseason, bounties are basically legal in the NHL and the playoffs are just around the corner ... still haven't seen you sign up for the Black & Gold Hockey Group though ... I think Zoey would look great in a Red Wings jersey,
