Moss to visit Saints(update pg.7)
Via FOX 8 New Orleans reports that the Saints will work out free agent Randy Moss "very soon."
Profootballtalk.com reported late last week that Moss had one team visit lined up for this week. It was apparently with the Saints. New Orleans, which is in danger of losing free agents Marques Colston and Robert Meachem, also flirted with Moss last fall. Moss only wanted to play for the Patriots and sat out the season. This offseason, Moss should be available for no more than the $3 million Plaxico Burress received from the Jets in 2011. |
Can he be had for cheaper?
|
At least Moss isn't deterred by the Bountygate allegations.
I guess he's looking to make it two out of two after already having experienced the aftermath of the Spygate in 2007. |
Somebody shoot me, put a fork in me please. i can't take much of this.
|
Ok it's officals the wheels are off the ship. Are You kidding me

Don´t know what to make out of it.. He might have a Bounceback year like TO had with the Bengals, but the risk that he is major pain in the Ass is still there!
|
bye bye Colston
|
What's the point in getting moss when drew is being pissy, we'll have no one to throw it to him
|
Just being him in for a look see... couldn't hurt. Could be a intriguing replacement for Meachem should he leave.
|
I'd personally be more disappointed in signing Randy Moss than any of the Bounty non-sense.

Yes, we deserve a slap on the wrist. We don't deserve the death penalty. |
VERY disappointed in SP and ML.
|
What's the league minimum?
1 yr deal with catch/TD bounties built into his contract. |
Oh well, if we're the new 70's Raiders, its a match made in heaven.
|
I heard Eric Martin was also available...
|
can we also get albert haynesworth and pac man jones?
|
Mr. Jones if you please.
|
13 years what does he have left. Insurance should Colston, Meachem leave well DUH!
|
Screw Moss. Junk... I thought we were about character? This guy has shown that he will quit on a play if he doesn't get his way.
|
Personally, I think he was probably humbled when all 32 teams turned their back on him last season.
Dude is a FREAK, and my last memory of him was him burning Revis for a one armed TD catch. He should sign cheap, and Brees to Moss should be pretty good. just my 2 cents. |

My god, we are becoming the Raiders
|
Talk about over reactions... it's just a visit.
|
I say we take him. I think a player like him would flourish with Brees and really like our pass happy offense and no one can deny he’s physically gifted. If we can keep his attitude in check and get him for 2-3M I think its worth a shot but at the same time I think I’ll be back here next year regretting my decision, lol. I hope they take a look at Reggie Wayne,Brandon Lloyd,Mario Manningham, and Hines Ward. If we can lock up Colston, pick up Moss, and pick up another decent WR we could have a really great receiver corps. I hope we can by some miracle keep Nicks too. Then we can focus our attention on the defense. I say we go after Mario Williams,we’ll never have a good defense if we don’t have good DEs. We also desperately need some real LBs. I like Vilma but its time to move on and is Shanle still on the team and if so why? Sorry if I got a little off topic. For the record I say go for Moss.

There's no way the Saints could afford Mario Williams after re-signing Nicks and Colston, absolutely no way. |
Randy Moss dazzles at work out.
"hearing from multiple sources re Randy Moss workout today he lit it up. Was told he ran about 45 routes and "looked like the old Randy."
"From what I gather all parties were pretty floored by his workout. Probably didn't expect him to perform the way he did" From Jay Glazer. |

The Randy Moss Unretirement Tour officially has begun, with the 35-year-old receiver blowing away the Saints.
A league source tells PFT the workout “couldn’t have gone better.” Moss got in and out of his breaks quickly, and he showed great football intelligence. While we aren’t in the business of contradicting our sources, there technically is at least one way the session could have gone better. Moss could have run the 40-yard dash in 4.3 seconds. Instead, he didn’t run the 40 at all. It’s unknown whether he wasn’t asked to do it, or whether he didn’t want to do it. Either way, it was a success. FOX’s Jay Glazer says via Twitter that Moss “looked like the old Randy” while running 45 routes for the Saints. (Of course, depending upon which “old Randy” we’re talking about, that could be a good thing, or a bad thing.) The Randy Moss Unretirement Tour continues next week, with at least two more visits. T.O. says to save him some popcorn Moss workout with Saints |
Who was throwing him the ball?

With this new development then, do we sign him?

This might at least put some pressure on Colston/Meachem to resign before we take another direction. |
This is really turning into a sad sad week.
