this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; He got to capitalize on a great "business" decision. I think he would have preferred to be in NO, but the money that was thrown his way he would NOT have recieved anywhere else. Good luck with Rivers!!...

I am so happy we kept Colston and replaced Nicks with a friendlier cap number... |

Ragging? Hardly. I was ragging the SD radio station for talking trash on their new WR immediately after the interview. I already know a lot of players wouldn't even graduate college if they weren't football players and treated like them. I wouldn't expect Meachem to be a good speaker. I would expect a radio station to treat him like that, and perhaps his agent or PR guy (if he has one) to teach him to give a minimum 20 word answer to everything.

I said that Meachem is a not public person nor is he outspoken... which are traits that makes him Colston. I made no mention if I thought Meachem was intelligent or well spoken. You've got to brush up on that reading comprehension buddy. The nerve. |

I for one am going to miss Meachem catching those beautiful long bombs from Brees! Good luck to him and I hope he becomes a star!

Maybe if he had a teleprompter and someone else wrote his answers for him so that all he had to do was read he'd sound much more intelligent and people would think he's one of the smartest people on the planet.
But alas, he's a football player. On 3rd and 12 he doesn't have to perform into a microphone. |
