If this turns out to be false no one will ever say a word about ESPN and the individuals working on the story but the Saints will always have this attached to them. For ESPN, a source is anyone who has an interesting story to tell, regardless of if they have proof. However, while the big wigs at ESPN and Outside the Lines thought it was OK to run this story, it seems a lot of the analysts and on air personalities for ESPN are skeptical.
Times-Picayune had this in their piece:

"This report is 1000 % false- completely inaccurate- we asked ESPN to provide us evidence to support thier allegations and they refused," said team spokesman Greg Bensel. "The team and Mickey are seeking all legal recourse regarding these false allegations"

I hope to god this is true so they can sue the hell out of them.

Jay Glazer (@JayGlazer) just tweeted;

Just got an email from Mickey Loomis: "This report on ESPN is absolutely false. I have a monitor in front of me in my booth that provides the league issued stats for the game. I have a small tv with the network broadcast and I have an earpiece to listen to the WWL-AM radio (flagship broadcaster) game broadcast.

To think I am sitting in there listening and actually and or doing something with the offensive and defensive play calls of the opposing teams makes this story and the unnamed sources that provided the false information that much more less credible…it just didn’t happen."

Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over, over, and over again...and expecting a different outcome!

This should be filed right away! Put the wood to them. There is enough bad news toward the Saints already. Show them that the Saints will not take this lying down. No facts mean its a freaking lie!

If that is true, then absolutely it should be filed. Stick it right back at them.
