That kind of Spanishesque/ Cali architecture is hardly anything to marvel at ..... Archie is most likely right in his saying avoid San Diego , even Spanos wants out of the place .... The Chargers would be a death trap for Eli , Schott could be on his way out and Spanos could move the team to the Los Angeles area to corner the Southern Cali. market .Where Spanos will find out what 2 previous owners have found out , the Los Angeles area is a huge market that has no real interest in a struggling team . Been awhile... good to be back... good to be finished with semester papers...
Let me begin by saying how much respect I have for the Manning family. I have loved Archie Manning since birth, and I pull for Peyton when he\'s not drumming the Saints or wearing an orange T on his helmet. All that being said, Eli has to be a man and speak up for himself here. If all of this conflict is motivated by the Manning family, Eli has to decide if this is the reputation he wants to build in the NFL. Does he really want to enter the league as a prima donna, demanding that San Diego bow to his ego? If Eli is really the voice behind all of the smoke Archie and Condon are exuding, then he needs to stop the obfuscation and take responsibility for his whining ways. I\'ll go on record as thinking at one point that it would be nice to have another Manning under center for the Saints. Right now, my opinion has been changed. I\'m sick of players trying to dictate what they want to the league. The reason that the NFL is more popular and profitable than any other sports league in the world is because of the team concept. If Eli thinks he\'s bigger and better than the system under which he hopes to profit in the future, then I don\'t want him. In fact, I\'ll go so far as to root against his spoiled a$$ and hope he gets eaten alive by the NY press after going 2-14 in his first season as a starter. .02 Good to be back. I\'m glad to see all the new folks. They all seem pretty friendly.
By the way, the new avatar\'s kinda scary... I think Darren needs a hug. BnB, boil it down for me... do you think Eli\'s being a beeotch, too? |

After reading what SR posted on the other thread, absolutely. I can understand players not wanting to play somewhere, but to dictate it? Should be like everyone else- you get a nice job making six figures and you live where the company wants you to live, if you don\'t, you go do something else.

Nothing wrong with archie saying his opinion... Its Eli\'s call... and if he comes out and says what he wants and gets it, means he\'ll be happier and have to work his ass off to live up to that decision, so it could be a good thing for whomever...
