First, IMHO, no.
Now a few questions to enhance the discussion; 1. Where are the Saints going to find the $3.975mm for Osi one-year contract? 2. Would you do it if it means the Saints cannot sign Brees to a long-term contract this year? 3. Giants are supposedly in need of a RB. Would you trade P. Thomas and his $2.2mm 2012 salary (year 2 of a 4 year deal) for Osi? Saints still would have to pony up $1.75mm for Osi in 2012. Releasing Shanle would do it? This should get lively!
