here is the guy i want to see, special teams ace?

Kadarron Anderson, ILB, Furman

Height: 6-0 1/4
Weight: 238

Arm: 30 7/8
Hand: 9 1/8
Wingspan: 74 1/2
Speed: 4.89
10 yd: 1.70
20 yd: 2.87
20 YD Shuttle: 4.44
60 YD Shuttle: 13.03
3- Cone: 7.53
225 lb. bench : 18
Vertical jump : 31
Broad: 9 8

Also known as K.D., Anderson is a multi-faceted linebacker who shows the knack of reading quarterbacks and constantly putting himself in position to make plays. Defending the run is his forte, as the senior enforcer fights through blocks head-on to reach the ball carrier. Opponents are often helpless when K.D. is in the vicinity since he hits with a purpose and will frequently knock the ball loose. His powerful arms and upper body come in handy when slamming running backs to the ground when meeting them in the hole. The South Carolina native exhibits enough quickness to flow to the perimeter as well. Anderson is also an effective pass rusher, particularly on delayed blitzes, where he'll force signal callers to throw the ball away before the intended receiver gets open. His intelligence and ability to react to the action in front of him are truly remarkable.

Led the team in tackles in ’09 after registering 123-5 1/2-0 with two pass breakups and one forced fumble and starting all 11 games at middle linebacker. Earned first-team All-Southern Conference honors for the second season in a row in ’10 after pacing the team in tackles with 121-7 1/2-0 with one interception and one forced fumble. Team captain. His cousin, Johnathan Joseph, is a cornerback for the Houston Texans.

Biography: Three-year starter awarded both All-American and all-conference honors since his sophomore season. Senior totals included 111 tackles/5.5 tackles for loss/2 sacks after he had 121 tackles the prior year. Posted a career-high 123 tackles as a sophomore.

Positives: Tough run-defending linebacker with marginal size/speed numbers for the next level. Remains disciplined with assignments, does not bite on play-action passes and is fluid moving in every direction of the field. Breaks down well, quickly fills gaps to defend the run and hustles to the action. Smooth changing direction, scrapes well laterally and rarely off his feet.

Negatives: Lacks bulk and strength at the point of attack. Easily blocked from the action. Lacks top pursuit speed.

Analysis: Anderson was an incredibly productive run defender on the small school level and possesses the toughness and wherewithal to be a backup on the inside of a 34 alignment in the NFL. He also comes with a special teams mentality, which boosts his value.

Projection: FA

"We may have lost the game, but you'll be hurting tomorrow." Doug Atkins

I'd like to see Ryan Baker get a chance. He hits like a mac truck on special teams.

I wonder if the Saints tried to get QB Kellen Moore from Boise? I was hoping the Saints would bring him in but the Lions got him.
