Sully is a Big 'Ol Boy

Elsewhere in the division

Atlanta

We’re told it truly is a different day for the Falcons. The arrival of new head coach Jim Mora was expected to shake up the organization, but nobody expected the combination of new general manager Rich McKay and Mora to be so explosive so soon. Mora conducted his first minicamp at a much quicker pace than predecessor Dan Reeves, and he demanded discipline from everyone around the team. That included a reporter who answered his cell phone during one of the workouts. The newsman immediately was told that he would have to hang up his phone and not let it happen again. Sources say the players are responding to the new atmosphere with more enthusiasm than was ever seen during Reeves’ reign. Reeves usually took a conservative approach to things, and considering the success he had had as a coach in the past, it’s understandable why he would take the tried and true road. But we’re told the Falcons already are more in tune with Mora’s tempo and are itching for training camp to roll around.
