In the age of the salary cap, you pick your poison; and as unpopular as this is to post, we are not getting return for slotted salaries at DE, DT, and SS and FS...

Gotta wonder if preparing the Offensive Line was affected? Personnel alone, I don't like what we have at OT, left or right and that's on front office...

I do trust Spags and his scheme... the Saints' defensive players, not so much.

But like the FOX broadcast team said, Spags' Giants started giving up 80 total points in their first two games, but ended up winning the Super Bowl, so I'm not willing give up on either Spags nor the Saints' D players just yet.

Honestly, I thought our D scheme looked fundamentally good, the problem was the big plays. We were actually tackling people! There were only a couple of bad misses, and nowhere near as bad as under GW. We stopped the run, and forced RG3 to make some pretty risky passes, but our secondary wasn't there to finish the job, and his receivers bailed his a$$ out more than once. When Jabari is back it will help, but we need our backs to take a serious look at themselves and readjust.

In the words of Ray Lewis, if your D gives up 25 points in a game they are NOT DOING THEIR JOB. I think also this was Hassletts homecoming and his D looked good until the 4th quater, the Skins D will only get better, his version of the Dome Patrol. Our D will figure things out in a few games but until then the storms will keep coming. Our O is my concern, we haven't been man-handled like that since St. Louis under Spags., the Niners didn't make us look this bad on the O and their D is much better than the Skins. Keep in mind the Skins went on cruise controll in the 4th so hang on to your hats folks until our O gets it down our D is going to have to get tough enough to keep things close and that may take a while.

Big difference in the talent he had in NY than what he has now to working with. Yesterday I was very critical of Spags and lack of adjustment, Wrote some things I regret today. I' ll wait a few more weeks before I criticize him again if at all.

Krohmer looked like a deer caught in the headlights, just stood there like a bump on a log and did nothing, didn't even argue the pass interference call in the end zone on Roman Harper. IMO that wasn't even close to pass interference just good coverage.

Thanks Mr. Goodhell for stripping us of a chance to win by taking our Head Coach.

Agreed, but they didn't have great talent at DB either, so there's still hope for the Saints' D.

That pass interference call on Harper was ridiculous, and it probably had a very big affect on how the game unfolded. The 'Skins would've had to punt if the pass was called incomplete as it should've, and the Saints could have gone onto make it a 1-score game in the 3rd quarter instead of being put in a situation where the 'Skins could just bound in the ball from the 1 yard line.

It was a terrible call, especially when there were so many occasions where the Saints' receivers were impeded from running their routes cleanly with jersey-pulls and whatnots... not one of those being called by the refs.

Yep, I'm gonna give everyone more time there, but do wanna say this. There was more than enough suckage to go around , but in spite of that we still almost pulled it off. For me the bottom line was that we were flat out out coached. Haslett knew just about exactly what we were gonna do on offense and Shanahan had us in the cross hairs as far as our defense. It's step up time for everyone. I hope this game was the wake up call it needs to be.

One thing I did notice....Niether rookie DTs Hicks or Walker were activated for this game. I really feel they need to be to get pressure. They are the 2 that did get constant pressure up the middle all preseason. Bunkley & Ellis paired together is good for run stoppage but we need PUSH!! Thats what we've always lacked...I really think Hicks would have made at least alittle difference in this game.

There is a long way for us to go to be an elite team. Sean Payton is sorely missed. It is only one game but a whooper of a disappointment.

I go to watch it at a sportsbar here in town, defense looked bad, missed tackles, no pressure on RGIII. As bad as it was, at least they had a shot to try & tie at the end of the game. They should be able to look back at this game & correct themselves. 2 big plays that changed the Colstons fumble/touchback & the Harper pi call, if neither happened who knows.
