If we actually wanted to start running the ball we should've kept Bush and actually used him like he was supposed to be used.
We still could've signed Sproles to have 2 playmakers on the team. But we are mainly a passing team, and that's the offense we run. We have a cerebral QB in Drew Brees, and once he gets his **** together we will be successful. Today's game was a nice start for Brees, we ran more than usual today, and mostly only because we were up so much. And do you see what happens when we let up on the gas peddle? It bites us in the ass because we relied on a suspect defense to seal the game for us instead of putting it into Brees' hands like it's supposed to be. |
