Have the Saints lost their way with regards to the Pierre Thomas Philosophy?
This is the one where no matter where you are drafted, what money were signed, that if you are performing the best you get playing time... While they did move De La Puenta over Kreutz last season, it would seem they could do the same in a few other positions... |

Re: Pierre Thomas Philosophy
Specifically, I could think of five starters or significant playing time players that have not been getting it done...
Ellis, Smith, Jenkins, Harper, Ingram, Hartley... |

Re: Pierre Thomas Philosophy
Thomas always makes plays, unless he is speared in the head by defenders... (See SF game)
Why we don't feature him as an every down back is beyond me. Then again, when this team has a head coach, stuff like this is not a problem. |

Re: Pierre Thomas Philosophy
Just from the replays I saw on TV, I thought he had his hand under the ball the whole time. Didn't look like it hit the ground at all...

Re: Pierre Thomas Philosophy
PT is a stud, plays his hardest every down and produces in all aspects of the game. Him and Sproles are a perfect 1-2 punch in my opinion. I wish we had SP to get everything fluid.

Re: Pierre Thomas Philosophy
The ball was trapped between his pad, helmet and hand.
Part of the ball may have come in contact with the ground but that is legal. At least it is in the NFL. I'm guessing they interpreted it incomplete when replay showed some aire between his hand the ball as he was coming off the turf. There was nowhere near conclusive evidence to overturn that TD. |
