Time to trade for defensive help?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; The Bills are kicking the tires, no pun intended, on Donte Stallworth. Maybe the Saints should try to trade Cadet, AA or Roby for some defensive help....

Question Time to trade for defensive help?

The Bills are kicking the tires, no pun intended, on Donte Stallworth.

Maybe the Saints should try to trade Cadet, AA or Roby for some defensive help.

Just face it , this is how it's going to be this year. Just hope it doesn't hurt us in upcoming years as well.

Re: Time to trade for defensive help?

Those 3 combined wouldn't net us a starter.

We'd have to offer Colston, Henderson, or maybe Moore to land us a decent defensive player.

While we're pontificating, who is there to reasonably go after, should Mickey want to do that when he gets back? I don't get the impression there's much on the waiver wire nowadays.

I'd trade Ingram in a heart beat. Ought to be able to get something for him. A big mac meal or something.

Re: Time to trade for defensive help?

Problem is the Saints really do not have much trade bait available. There are probably two guys on the entire roster who could bring a 1st round draft pick or an impact defensive player. Only problem is if the Saints were to trade either of those two guys, the season would really be doomed. Talking about Brees and Sproles if you haven't figured that out.
