Re: I am ready to move on from Hartley

really? It doesn't matter if he makes it or not... with our D they would have gone down there and scored a TD to win.

Re: I am ready to move on from Hartley

I only saw on Red Zone. It seems like the drops were once again killer. The O-Line also had decent protection until it was most needed. The two sacks I saw, drew had exactly zero seconds. After the first one we converted but the second was too far and it led to the missed FG.

And the play calling: six tries to get in o the end zone from, what, the 6? And one run called...awful.

Kasey wouldn't have even been an option from that distance.

I give Hartley a pass. He came through in possibly the most clutch moment in saints history

This is the exact thinking why players like Shanle are still hear..it was 3 years ago. How long are we going to keep him missing kicks because of 1 good season?

As most of you know, I have been one of Hartley's biggest defenders on this board. I have believed in him and defended him missed kick after missed kick. I have defended him for three years. I can't defend him any more. Like someone else said, he's a head case. He is now indefensible. I really thought Hartley was going to be another Morton Anderson, but, I'm like some of you others, I cringe when he gets up to kick. I can't take it anymore.

Thank you for the NFC Championship. And thank you for the Superbowl. You will always be one of the heros of 2009. But it's time to part ways.

Now all that said, Hartley, or whomever our next kicker is, needs to stop being put in that position time after time after time. Nobody can be successful like that.

Re: I am ready to move on from Hartley

It's just when you see these rookie kickers kicking 15 in a row and 60 yarders. If Hartley lined for a 60 yarder, I would laugh. Confidence before today was not there. Even on extra points I hold my breath with him.
