So the Ravens just lost Ray Lewis, could we trade Vilma to them?

Everyone seems to forget Vilma has not been a "beast" since 2008. He started a decline in 2009 and has been down hill since.

"If" Vilma ever was a beast.

Re: Vilma to make his debut against Bucs

I kinda see Vilma playing all three LB spots as a reserve, I just don't see him being penciled in as a starter in any spot. Maybe in a few weeks once he knocks the dust off he can beat out someone, but by then the suspension may really kick in. Who knows, I am just glad to have him back if for only a short while, to see if he really has anything left.

If he's fully healthy, he shouldn't have an issue being a mainstay alongside Lofton. There's little to lose inserting him at OLB... at worst it's a lateral move and we go back to the drawing board. Should be a good motivational boost also.

Vilma maybe a step slower but he knows this D and it personnel and could put them position. Vilma is in that group which is only a handful that can match wits with a QB. I have not been that overly impressed with Lofton, yes he’s made/making tackles but he’s no Vilma. We know Vilma legs aren’t under him yet but it will; I’d like to see both on the field and even though Vilma wouldn’t mind sliding to the outside but healthy he needs to stay in the middle with Lofton on strong side and Casillas on the other side – SHANLE HAS TO GO

He knows 3/4 of the personnel and has yet to play a snap under Spags defense.

If Williams were here, yes.. Now.. no.

I understand why but I think he can pull this off esp if the Dline performs lol

Re: Vilma to make his debut against Bucs

A rusty Vilma, whether he fully grasps the scheme or not...is better than a Herring or Shanle IMHO. Now if Hawthorne or Casillas are starting @ OLBs then thats a different story...

Re: Vilma to make his debut against Bucs

Vilma hasn't played a snap in like.........forever.
I don't expect him to just step in and dominate against other NFL players.
He could have an impact if he can get around.
