So is the season still over from some...

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I dont think Saints fans ever give up. I remember in the old days we would bet on the losing record for fun. We always find the silver lining. I believe we will win the Super Bowl. Really don't care ...

I dont think Saints fans ever give up. I remember in the old days we would bet on the losing record for fun. We always find the silver lining.

I believe we will win the Super Bowl.

Really don't care about stats ,team strength, QBR, line efficiency or wether we face GB in a -60 blizzard. Thats just conversation to better figure out things. Our boys are going to find a way to win the Super Bowl.

If the Seahawks can make the playoffs, then fate can deal us the same hand. We just have to push harder every time we are knocked back.
Until we are proven "Out off it" I will always believe we will win the Super Bowl. Especially with this offense. It consistently shreds the best defenses in the NFL. Something no other team can say.

That said, I think at most we lose is 3 and go 9-7, probably 10-6 or 11-5.
I mean there is no difference between losing most of your games up front or losing sporadically threw-out the year. We can beat every team below and every team we faced. We didn't but we could have.

NO @ DEN =W I think Denver is some what over rated NE manhandled them, and they are no better than we are as a team, but their offense is not better.
PHI @ NO = W or L We usually beat Philly but they have morphed into something we haven't seen before. Could go either way.
ATL @ NO = W their coach is an idiot and you can't change that ATL will try to go vertical and big play on us.
NO @ OAK = W nothing special, and we are out of trap games.
SF @ NO = W because we have Sprags and he knows SF better than any DC.
NO @ ATL = W same reasons except now they are embarrassed , and try to hard.
NO @ NYG = W we have a history. I think we just have their number, like they have NE's.
TB @ NO = W or L but our defense will be better the second time around.
NO @ DAL = W or L we always struggle vs Dallas for some reason. Maybe its BUSHROD vs ware
CAR @ NO = W The team is pissed because they got beat by such a bad team.

Saints proved that pigs could fly in 2009.
Now its time for another miracle SuperBowl and go where no pig has gone before.

Jenkins could have possibly changed the whole team mindset with that one play. I could see them winning a couple more in a row fueled by that alone. That would put them at .500. The next motivator is playing for a winning record. If they hit 5-4 "anything still possible" looks more like it will be possible. At that point the run is on. Have to get these next two wins though. Without that I could see them really unravel.

Plenty of season left, I think they will find a way to at least stay alive for the playoffs until very late in the season.

There were lots of splashes in the water earlier as people were jumping out the rigging, now it's quieted down.

The character of the team this year is like the "I'm not dead yet" guy in Monty Python. They are feeling better. They beat Denver and they will start singing. They will not be out of the playoffs until Goodell looks around to see if anyone else is looking, and then clubs them out of the playoffs with a blow to the head.

I understand getting pressure from this D is not going to happen but that's not even the main issue. Poor tackling, bad angles, and just being flat out of position. If they fix that this can be an average defense and at the end of the day that's all we need.

I've been wondering if Loomis is planning some type of trade. I'm sure that he has scoured the different teams that have something to offer.

He can do the math at home and implement his plan the day he gets back. I truly believe that we have a 50/50 shot of getting an impact DT when he gets back in charge.(err maybe 60/40 or 70/30)

Unless of course he's busy and tied up with the Hornets.
