+1 Like on the mathematics and insanity!
He's not even saying that he thinks it will happen, folks -- just that it CAN still happen. With the crazy off season we've had, I am gonna continue to wear my fogged-up, no-seeing, no-hearing mother****er Black and Gold glasses until the clown car of this season is officially driven into the ditch and has come to a complete final halt! The wheels have come off, but we are technically still screeching down the concrete on the chassis, shooting sparks, but still moving. I think even with all the crap I'm still kinda weirdly optimistic -- I think we have a really reasonably good shot at one of those old-school Saints heartbreak years, where it ends up coming down to the wire. Where the Saints in the playoffs depends on the outcome in like six other games, a process drawn out agonizingly over the last two or three weeks, and then the very last one of them all, comes down to a field goal kicker in some other faraway game on the last day of the season shanking an easy PAT in the rain. Remember how we always used to need crazy scenarios like that, to get into the playoffs? It'd be like, if this team beats that team and this other team beats that team, for six different random games to get us in -- and it NEVER worked out for us. Well maybe this time it will all line up, LOL. |

If it were just the defense I might still be optimistic. Drew is consistently pressured by avg defenses. Even when they attempt to get the O-line help they still get through.

Devery makes that catch on the deep ball last night and it would have been a more competitive game. We were running well but had to give it up. We also had a sloooow tempo. Those things can be corrected. The D line has to get a push or we need to blitz more. Luckily we will not be playing Manning the next 9 games.

If's but's woulda coulda shoulda blah blah blah. Wake up and take your glasses off. We have the WORST defense in the NFL EVER!! Not just this year.EVER! What in gods name do you think is going to happen to change that?
Talk about me giving up? Really..you haven't been watching Saints football lately. We have players giving up. You don't think they read blogs or watch ESPN? They know what is being said about them. They are human and this crap has got to start waying on them. It should anyway, because anybody with any pride would be dejected. How long has our D line and LB's been sucking? Why are those position coach's still here? It starts up top. Some heads need to roll and some players need to be kicked to the curb. This season was over before it began. We just didn't know it yet and some still don't. |
