Read all the comments, some I agreed with , others I didn't. Last night I think we played with the kind of fire and intensity I'm used to seeing out of this team.Defense is still porous but made plays when it needed to. Drew and the offense was sharp. And as far as the Denver debacle goes, I think they turned the corner on us and despite having a slow start are now one of the best teams in the AFC. Also don't forget who is coaching them. John Fox was a serious thorn in our side for many years as coach of the panthers. I think he knows how to play us pretty good.

Re: The Fact Of The Matter

I'll say it. Philly beat themselves. It was great to win a game but we give up that many yards running and total against Atlanta or almost any other team and expect to win is insane(?yeah you have to be with this team). Of course I'll take the win but I'm not gonna crown our Defense just yet.

Positives- More pressure plays from the defense and the offense was finally running balanced plays.

Ivory and Ingram look to have a personal battle going on. I say good.

Graham and Colston are back in form.

Lance still comes up big.

Brees was sharp in the pocket other than the lost fumble.

Re: The Fact Of The Matter

TBH the fumble wasn't even really his fault.
Brees is always looking down field to make a play. The guy has faith, confidence in his line.
The pocket just collapsed. It happens...

Actually, if this team could just tackle they would be a much better defense.

The same goes for all the other 31 defenses in the league... it's the fundamentals that really matter and what everything else is built on.

Re: The Fact Of The Matter

i had been thinking over the last 4 or so games that a bit of mixture of spags new scheme and some of the old pin-your-ears back would maybe get them moving.

i saw that monday night. i think our guys need that initial surge and a nice play to get their confidnece up. after that, they played a HELL of a lot better. not great, but good. you could feel they were jazzed up after getting to the QB. let them ride that...if it gives them confidence, that's a good thing.

i think they need to continue that approach. but after they spend 10hrs a day for 3 days hitting the tackling dummies. that was just embarrasing. lynch run anybody?

Re: The Fact Of The Matter

The fact that the Eagles' O-line has 4 of the 5 starters out probably had a lot to do with the fact that the Saints' players were able to create more pressure than they have in the past.

I don't expect that to be the case against the Failclowns' O-line.

Re: The Fact Of The Matter

Great pressure against a crappy Eagles O-line. If we don't get some of the same pressure on Ryan, White and Jones will eat our DB's for lunch (unfortunately).
