The only reason i am not worried about our defense against their offense is because... well.... quite frankly i do not have high hopes for our defense and do not expect them to stop anyone... just slow them a little. Even if our defense holds them to 14 if our offense cant overcome that defense we lose.
(gasp) if Drews streak ends..... |

Re: 49ers vs Saints
No Alex Smith. No magic comeback TD in the last min like last yr. Whoop de do he threw 2 tds against the bears. You should have seen that bears defense. Those idiots look scared to tackle.

Re: 49ers vs Saints
right tackle. This will be a test, not only for the backup we put in Zach Strief's spot, but also for the coaching staff. This might be Kromer's time to shine at
what he does best. If we can hold up at RT, the O just might put the 9'ers in their place. I look for Pierre Thomas to lower the shoulder on a certain defensive back. I want us to hammer them with a steady dose of Ingram/Ivory/PT and slug some 49er defenders in the mouth. Put the Earl Campbell on them. |

Re: 49ers vs Saints
Coming off MN, short week, holiday, limited prep, travel time, QB controversy...that's a lot of adversity to overcome. If we get the RT some help and don't play their game of easy turnovers I think we roll on them. Have to be smart on YAC and special teams. That's how they got us last time, stupid turnovers.

Re: 49ers vs Saints
Honestly, I am more worried about our defense giving up more points than our offense puts up.
Although I am very concerned about RT. |

Re: 49ers vs Saints
I'm worried about the O line and Brees. But other than that I think we play our balls off cause this team is playing with a ton of confidence now. Football is however about 60% mental. And our mentality is through the roof right now! We got this game!!! Hometown Super Bowl!!

Re: 49ers vs Saints
I am not very worried at all ... This team took from us the finest Saints Team I ever saw ... They paraded about the streets and Trolled for an entire year then when bountygate exploded the entire NFL trolled us without any proof to date ( Weird ) ...
Ironically after San Fran is when everything fell apart for us , So just fittingly we are 5-5 facing them with the tide turning in our Own home and have the chance to not only right our wrong and definately get back into a major playoff contender , but put a stamp and seal a message to the rest of the NFL that we are not going away and they have not destroyed us but created a angry determined team In all honesty if we make either QB second guess just a tad bit , we will be up by 21 before you know it. This is the game I am most pumped up for , and I'm sure Ingram , PT especially have an Itch for this team ... Oh and we have the ultimate Motivator in Joe Vitt Shooting our players up with Gamma Rays for this game. This is that game where you take your fist and make your opponents chin touch his shoulder with ... |
You Can't Say Impossible without first saying Im Possible ...

Re: 49ers vs Saints
I'd almost give this one a double vote.
A. worried about our RT position? Who is that dude they brought in? Never heard of him. B. our defense giving up more points than we can over come do to A. Not terribly worried, but those would be my two concerns, as they affect each other hand-in-hand. If the RT holds up, it cancels the worry about B. I do think we'll have the "we have a score to settle, you lucky f**ks" chip, so that should give us the over all edge in this one. Hope you guys are loud and nutty in the dome...wish I could be there for this one! |
