Which is another reason not to try and force it down the field and I said it immediately when he threw the ball. Between the 4 man rush and the LB's and DB's in the middle of the field there was 8 men between the hash marks and no one outside on Sproles. All I'm saying is that at times especially when we are behind Drew wants to get all the yardage in huge chunks instead of working in down the field. He zeros on one receiver and doesn't look at anyone else. Same thing he did before half, he didn't look anywhere else but at Graham. Sometimes it works sometimes it bites us. This was one of those times. It wasn't 2 minutes left in the game, we still had almost 2 quarters to go to force that throw.

When you watch the clip, dont look at how open Sproles is, look at Drews line of sight...

Hilarious that people think that in the matter of, fractions of seconds, they think any player is thinking all of those thoughts lmao. Colston was trying to make a play on a badly thrown ball. To think anything else is just babble from people that have no clue.

Bingo... How many times do you think Colston has been hit mid air catching a ball in his life Jr. High/HS/College/NFL.... Getting hit is the last thought in his mind, because he knows it is coming... Catching the ball is all he is focused on for that type of pass. For the on the ground in the chest passes he is focused either on where the 1st down is or running as soon as the ball is secured.

As a WR he knows there is only ONE way to avoid the hit, get the fk out of the way. That is why some receivers miss the catch, they are thinking about running away from that spot as fast as they can.

Yeah the middle is blocked, he had to jump up just to throw over the pressure.
My point is he had tunnel vision on Colston. He was determined in throwing the seam route and never even looked to his left is all I'm saying. This only happens around twice per game and this time they both cost us.

Look at it again Oak. He definitely takes his eye off the ball. Watch his head, just as the ball is about to hit his hands he looks down. He knows what's getting ready to happen and self preservation kicks in.

When your azz is 8 feet in the air, there is zero self preservation action.

He's still walking so I'd say it worked out well.
