Cowher is a great coach, but high power passing offenes are what's hot and Sean knows it as good or better than anyone. Let me ask, how many of those coaches would have been able to come in in 2006 and build a team that won a Superbowl? Belichik is the only one I would go out on that limb for.
But one could also say why go after Payton since its likely his success is due to Drew Brees.

Many here have said if we lost Brees we'd be lucky to win 6 games. I think all the players here were brought in by Payton/Loomis. So without Brees what makes Payton so desirable?

I'm not trying to start anything, I'm just kinda curious. I think he's a great coach, but without Brees? Who knows?
