Saints discussing new contract with Carmichael
The Saints are discussing a new contract with OC Pete Carmichael.
Carmichael is technically a coaching free agent right now, but he says a new contract with the Saints is "going to happen." Carmichael interviewed for the Bears' head-coaching vacancy but later took his name out of the hat and turned down OC opportunities with the Eagles and Jaguars. "This is going to be a tough place to ever leave for me," Carmichael said.
