I understand it but am worried by this defence at the same time.

Exactly at some point you have to cut ties with these guys....they're not helping at this point in their careers....

Maybe just me, but I think these guys still provide value to this team. Will Smith could be a nice fit as a 3-4 DE which places emphasis on stopping the run; something he does very well (and even though he's not a speed pass rusher, he had second most sacks on the team).

IMHO, these guys are good role players... what we really need is to get impact pass rushers at the 3-4 OLB positions. Getting a few speedy guys to get to the QB will solve a lot of ills on this defense.
