Re: Holder: Smith and Vilma Restructure- Remain Saints
You guys all say you wish they were cut outright? We have a $7Million cap hit from them if we cut them! I don't care of we put them on special teams or have them getting Gatorade for the starters - we can't just cut them and eat $7M. At least this way maybe we can trade them each for a 4th, 5th, or 6th round pick now that they have attractive salaries, or can get situational rushes or special teams play for our $$. If we cut them we get SQUAT for our $7Million.

You definitely could get quality talent with $16M and "eat" the hit you take in dead money in the process. |

I personally hope we trade them though. |

Re: Holder: Smith and Vilma Restructure- Remain Saints
we got time. we are going to add 2nd and 3rd tier fa anyways. let the market prices get set and the big spenders get done. colts are the big spender and winners so far. miami spending big but so big i can not say they are winners
Bushrods market value will determine everything. i bet thats why he is talking to the bears already. getting a feel for the cheese out there for him. i bet the FO is waiting on that info more than other and seeing whats left out there for options if he moves on |
