Re: Saints Depth Chart 2013
This roster looks a little shaky to me. We're pinning our hopes on a lot of unproven talent. The good news is we seem to have done a good job with the talent we've brought in. Nice see some good young Dlinemen making their presence felt.
We're gonna have 3 new WRs this year. Toon and Stills have performed well so far. I think we'll be okay here. I wonder how much of a difference we'll see in the O line now that Kromer is gone. I worry about our depth here. Suspect linebacking seems to be in our DNA. Add injury to the equation and we could be in trouble. I say just throw the young bucks out there and let them learn. Sorry to say it but I think Vilma is a lost cause. He's a genuine Saints hero and a huge part of that Super Bowl season. He'll always be one of my favorite Saints. But it's time to move on. Can we get one DB who can catch a freakin football? Can anybody play safety? Again we have some young guys coming in to push some vets who may have become a little too comfortable. Vaccaro, Bush, Corey White and some others show promise. This group needs a good shake up. From the next man up department, what are we going to do with Khirry Robinson? If it comes down to him or Cadet I'd have to keep Robinson. He'll be a great understudy to PT. We could use some young blood, PT and Sproles ain't getting any younger. I hope we can keep Cadet too. He's a good utility guy. We're set here. Ben Watson!! YEAH! Perfect compliment to Graham. How many TEs do we keep? Is Higgins a lock? QB? Check. |

Re: Saints Depth Chart 2013
I know man, just joking around about how our expected starters haven't played a lick in the preseason (Galette and Wilson) and now back-ups are done like Will Smith. I'm not opposed to what you said about trading back into the first round to get Ogletree, but we also have to have patience and see what we have in our current defensive players and then make a decision with our 1st round draft pick still available next year instead of trading it away... Damned if you do, damned if you don't. That's why we love this stuff so much!
