We could have afforded it. I don't understand why people think our players are very good. We could have drafted players to help us this year and players that will help us two years from now. We have hole.

Payton said the phone didn't really ring with someone looking for a tradde partner in the first round. There wasn't much choice whether we should stay pat at 15 or not.
