I can only assume there was a reason. Either he is better than we think or we were worse off than assumed.

I expected to hear something tomorrow.

Wow, nice! This guy is a playmaker! And also is the one who picked Brees for 6 last year if I'm not mistaken!!!

You might be thinking of someone else if it were last year.

I don't think this guy played at all last year.

Yeah, I think it was Ahmad Brooks who made that play. Or I could be wrong.

Saints acquired OLB Parys Haralson from the 49ers in exchange for undisclosed compensation.

The Saints are the most desperate team in football when it comes to pass rushers, and this move just confirms it. The 49ers were going to cut Haralson. 29 years old, Haralson didn't play a down last season due to a triceps tear, and hasn't registered more than five sacks in any campaign since 2008. He's a long shot to help New Orleans. Meanwhile, the 49ers are loaded with pass rushers. They have Cam Johnson and rookie Corey Lemonier coming off highly impressive preseasons behind Aldon Smith and Ahmad Brooks.

Mercy, they sound so negative. Suck it rotoworld and the San Jose Mercury News.

Compensation was probably a 2 for 1 coupon to Acme Oyster House.

Ah, yeah you're right. This guy is still a very good player from what I remember of him. Forgot about his injury this past year.

Meh, not terribly excited about this one. I guess he'll be a decent to OK backup if he's over the injury.

Wait and See, I guess...

Re: Haralson a Saint

If the compensation is what I anticipate it to be, I don't see any negatives to the move. No qualms here. Hopefully he comes over with a big chip on his shoulders and rips Kaepernick a new one when we play them.

Re: Haralson a Saint

not to mention, he's actually a true 3-4 OLB...

Not gonna happen.

I hope we are handsomely compensated. Haralson is a VERY solid player and is now going to a conference rival. No shame not starting on a team with two All-Pro’s at the position.
Quote:

He will be a good fit in New Orleans. Not a superstar but very solid. Wonder what the price was?
Quote:

He’ll fit in perfectly. Saints fan, you got a good player. Best of luck Parys.
I like!

I was against this, but I ain't gonna whine about it too much. A pure OLB who has played OLB for his whole career. He can help mentor the young'uns we have at LB. Oh, and we better not have given up something ridiculous for him.

I complain about handy J's if they don't morph into a BJ. Rez Burna don't play that.

Give it a chance.

Exactly. Leave the handy's too the middle school kids. You gotta stop accepting those in the 8th grade. Don't be scared to take a stand men. They'll think they can compensate every guy with that crap. O_o

At LB? Everyone might not get this reference, but Haralson is Super Saiyan Goku compared to Will Smith as Krillin.
