I think Defenses are learning how to play against Brees. Since he's undertall (wont use the "s" word on him) amd since he doesnt run, it's better to just push up the middle, clog up the passing lanes and contain him. I noticed several plays where we rolled him out the pocket. Redskins effectively used a controlled dropback/rollout when Theismann played.

Drew was hanging on to the ball. Normally nothing matters to Drew, he can dink and dunk you to death... For some reason he was hesitant last night, a few times we had an open short pass and he didnt take it. |
