Refs: Home Cooking?

No doubt the refs handed this one to the home team. I thought the Pats did an excellent job with their defensive calls. But look, unless I know more about the rules than the refs, they cooked it for the Pats. That offside penalty (which should have been the correct call) baked the cake. That was like watching the bad actors on some of these "reality" shows. Obvious to the point of nausea.

Yeah, but there was shoulder-to-helmet contact/defenseless player and I see why they called it, though I vehemently disagree with them calling that one,

... it was so obvious Bush was doing everything in his power not to put a flagrant hit on the guy but still do the job the Saints sent him out there to do ... poor judgment and erring on the side of caution by the refs, IMO.

The shoulder to helmet contact was not from a shoulder going into the side of the helmet, it was from the helmet going into the shoulder as the defender was right in front of him. There is a difference there.
