OK, gents, let's not imitate Dez AND ALSO not talk about glaring flaws in this team. I believe it is still OK here to discuss the areas in which we think the team could improve.

On the other hand, we are 6-2 ... so it is reasonable to not go running around with our hair on fire, either.

No on this board your not allowed to talk about ways to improve. You'll be thought of as irrational and a band-wagon fan.

How dare you say this team needs some work, you must be a falcon fan.

Edit: The only thing I can't stand aside from people *****ing in forums are the people that ***** about *****ing.

What gets old is the constant negativity you puke up daily. Every team has flaws and were no different. It just gets annoying as hell to hear you obsess about them constantly. When you get called out for it you act like your getting chastised for objective analysis when in reality you're obsessed with criticism.
It's weak and bothersome.

Danno, I read your posts and respect your football knowledge in general and especially about this team. I have learned alot from your observations. And, I'm wondering if you could take the perspective ( especially after a loss ) that these people who are "obsessing" are actually just expressing a sincere concern about a team they love. And are just trying to figure out how to solve the problems ( because even if no one on the team reads this forum ) it still feels better than doing nothing.

That's the way I read their perspective. I also enjoy the analysis. Even if we were winning every game -- there would still be problem areas. I think this forum would be much less interesting if we didn't discuss them.

Holy crap! That has to be the most unbiased, level headed comment I've read on here! Very well written.

Honest discussion and objective criticism is exactly what I'd love to see.

But I'm not gonna join in the "we suck" noise because we played a bad game. I'm not dumb enough to claim we aren't a playoff team as we sit here at 6-2 with Drew Brees as our QB, a top 10 offense and a top 10 defense.

I look around the league and all of the top teams in the NFC have issues. San Fran looks like the top dog right now but that can change in an instant.

Seattle? Green Bay? Both have issues and have looked bad at times this year.

I will in no way apologize for ridiculing Club Pity Party. They're a bunch of whiners and losers and I really don't care for that. Its just not my thing.

But this board takes all kinds and I guess misery loves company. I'm not asking anyone be banned, just expressing my opinion about what I consider fair weather fans who constantly harp on the negatives.

If they don't like it, there's a really easy to use ignore feature. I have a couple on there and am considering a couple more. They add nothing worthy to the discussion.

Re: Problems we cannot fix in time

I can think of lots of things to be happy about:
1. I'm not from Atlanta
2. I'm not from Tampa
3. I don't have a concussion

I can think of a few things I'd like better than what I have now:
1. Saints figure out how to punch another team in the mouth running the ball
2. Saints figure out how to protect Drew Brees better
3. Saints D figure out how to stop the run
