OK, gents, let's not imitate Dez AND ALSO not talk about glaring flaws in this team. I believe it is still OK here to discuss the areas in which we think the team could improve.
On the other hand, we are 6-2 ... so it is reasonable to not go running around with our hair on fire, either. |

It's weak and bothersome. |

That's the way I read their perspective. I also enjoy the analysis. Even if we were winning every game -- there would still be problem areas. I think this forum would be much less interesting if we didn't discuss them. |

But I'm not gonna join in the "we suck" noise because we played a bad game. I'm not dumb enough to claim we aren't a playoff team as we sit here at 6-2 with Drew Brees as our QB, a top 10 offense and a top 10 defense. I look around the league and all of the top teams in the NFC have issues. San Fran looks like the top dog right now but that can change in an instant. Seattle? Green Bay? Both have issues and have looked bad at times this year. I will in no way apologize for ridiculing Club Pity Party. They're a bunch of whiners and losers and I really don't care for that. Its just not my thing. But this board takes all kinds and I guess misery loves company. I'm not asking anyone be banned, just expressing my opinion about what I consider fair weather fans who constantly harp on the negatives. If they don't like it, there's a really easy to use ignore feature. I have a couple on there and am considering a couple more. They add nothing worthy to the discussion. |

![]() Constructive criticism has a *point* ..... an objective. The objective that I see these posters ( I'll call them the Constructive Criticizers ), as having is: a) to satisfy their desire to support their team by analyzing team weaknesses and offering the product of that analysis in an online forum ( even if no one on the team will ever read it ) and b) engaging in a satisfying theoretical debate about a topic of mutual interest. Or you could just use your ignore button. Whatever works. ![]() |

You have to admit the "we suck" crowd got out of hand after the game and I ridiculed it appropriately. I did not mean to throw the objective critics into that group, but it was all happening so fast I really didn't care to differentiate between the two. Objective criticism? - I'm all for it and if you search my posts you'll find I did my fair share of it. Over the top criticism? - I enjoy ridiculing it. Its one of my Saints forum character flaws I guess. |
