Re: Problems we cannot fix in time
The problem is that De La Puente was never really truly THE GUY, he just stepped into it when the "Olin Kreutz Experiment" went into the commode.
In the past, the Saints had extreeeeemely good luck with the Carl Nicks and the Jermon Bushrod "next man up" philosophy, but it has not translated to DLP, and bottom line it's never really been the same on the line since Goodwin left, not Nicks, not Bushrod. Even Jahri Evans actually came in off the bench to replace somebody, promoted up from 2nd string, and we struck gold with him, too. But you can't keep hitting the jackpot like that every single time. DLP is really just spare parts, and has been exposed as such. But there is a tendency with this team -- and I don't blame them, I'm just stating the facts -- there is a tendency to just sort of roll with whatever seems to be working, even if it's cobbled together, like it's part of Payton's OCD thing. |

Constructive criticism has a *point* ..... an objective. The objective that I see these posters ( I'll call them the Constructive Criticizers ), as having is: a) to satisfy their desire to support their team by analyzing team weaknesses and offering the product of that analysis in an online forum ( even if no one on the team will ever read it ) and b) engaging in a satisfying theoretical debate about a topic of mutual interest. Or you could just use your ignore button. Whatever works. :-) Hope your day goes well, man. |

You have to admit the "we suck" crowd got out of hand after the game and I ridiculed it appropriately. I did not mean to throw the objective critics into that group, but it was all happening so fast I really didn't care to differentiate between the two. Objective criticism? - I'm all for it and if you search my posts you'll find I did my fair share of it. Over the top criticism? - I enjoy ridiculing it. Its one of my Saints forum character flaws I guess. |

I get how years of that sort of whinging can get old. See: Whinger Australians: whingers and worriers But, hey, to me, it is all part of the game -- and I am from NOLA so unexpected behavior is normal. Does that mean I have PTSD? |

That was on the road where the bengals have kept Brady and Big Ben out of the endzone and held Rodgers to 1 TD. But what 5 other losses do you see? Kinda hard to lose two weeks after losing to the same team(panthers) and I don't think we are losing at the rams with their issues. They no longer have Jackson and their defense isnt what it used to be against the pass. I doubt we lose back to back in our dome in nationally televised games. We can't lose to Atlanta. So I don't see how we even fall to 10-6 unless we lose to TB in a home upset last game. |
Re: Problems we cannot fix in time
I don't see how you can call cardinals, bills, dolphins or bears "nail biters".
f*ck me, bears just took out Rodgers and Forte ran all over the Pack at Lambeau. They might win the NFC north and they are still with out their best player (Briggs). Arizona is 4-4 in a division with the Seahawks and 49ers, Bears have a winning record and have Lance Briggs, Julius Peppers, Matt Forte, Martellus Bennett and Brandon Marshall on their team. Dolphins are 4-4 and took out the Colts. |
