this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; If he stays healthy, he'll be exactly what everyone wants him to be. He just needs the carries. I like that swing pass they threw him too....

Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)
I think he would do a lot better if they would call the plays at the right time and be more balanced with running a run game, of course the blocking needs to get better but there are multiple things that come into play

Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)
Doubt he gets more than 5 carries this week or breaks 30 yards. He took advantage of a injury plagued defense, good for him. If he produces this week or strings together weeks of this performance then maybe I'll change my stance until then I still see him being in the wrong system here. Don't know if it's been discussed but he needs to stop acting like an "idiot" after every carry, act like you have run for a positive gain before

Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)
Just for the record, Ingram has played in 30 games in his NFL career and has 10 games where he averages over 4.1 yards per carry so that's a little better than 1 good game.

Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)
I cant think of a more perfect stage to settle this than 49ers, Falcons, Seahawks, Panthers, Rams, Panthers, Bucs.
Which games is he going to get 80+ yards and over 4.1 YPC in? How many goal line punches will he get? How many short yardage 1st downs can we expect? Its easy to spin partial stats... Put the faith on the line and predict. |

Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)
hmm your right, if he gets easy holes, 10 yards of free space before hes tackled by the 1st guy, MI will shine in that environment. That isnt a RB, anyone can do that. So , easy prediction, hell I could do that, lol.
