Where is Chris Ivory (4.4 YPC)?

Markie Mark is finally showing some skill, but not until after playing gravedigger for almost every talented running back we've had since he got here.

PT 4.0 YPC (he can do better)
Sproles 3.8 YPC (he can damn sure do better)
Ingram 4.4 YPC (I can live with that)

As a team, 3.8 YPC - 25th in the NFL, not good

Reggie as a Saint - 3.99 YPC
Reggie as a Dolphin - 4.68 YPC
Reggie as a Lion - 4.7 YPC

Is New Orleans becoming the place where RB's just suck?

I was thinking that same thing. But looking at the 2010 playoffs, Reggie was just starting to run between the tackles and fight for yardage at the end of plays. I think we just dumped him right when he was starting to "get it." I think Ingram is just starting to get it now, though I know most people wouldn't be super sad to see him go this off-season. I wouldn't be surprised if he puts up 4.5-4.6 YPC with some other team next year.

EDIT: Also, I'll grant that Ivory was released for injury reasons more than anything.

Wasn't a comment to your response, rather the title of the thread.

Press coverage is our kryptonite. Duh.

You just relax though, Pete's PED's will draw attention soon enough...

Duh! the whole purpose of a Board is to discuss these things known and unkown Duh!

Maybe we should try the press man coverage. I do get tired of watching our corners stand off 10 yards from the line of scrimmage.

Actually, this is the best breakdown I've seen. Couldn't put my finger on it, but Greg Cosell explains things EXTREMELY well.

Y! SPORTS

End result, if they're taking away the deep strike, you MUST throw the under routes and make them pay. A lack of adjustment in passing style cost us against both teams.

Excellent breakdown (it probably deserves its own thread). It certainly looked like they knew what play we were running before we even snapped the ball.

While going back to look at Reggie Bush's stats did any of you notice the 800 LB gorilla in the room known as "not healthy enough to play?"

He was never healthy enough to start more than 10 games in a season.

His last two years as a Saint he was better than he was in his 2 years at Miami.

As far as for Ingram run the same numbers with out the Dallas game.

It's like fantasy football, every league has at least one guy that has 50 wire pick ups by the end of the season because each week he sees a WR, TE, RB that put up 25 fantasy points. The entire time ignoring the 1,2,0 point games that surround that one 25 point game. At the end of that week he jets him for the next 25 point one hit wonder.

Chicago comes to mind. Take what is given.

Stills is a much more complete WR than Morgan imo.

Bush just slipped in pregame warm ups and re-injured his knee.
