Re: Playoff scenarios (bring some aspirin)
But the fact is that, if both the Saints and 49ers win out (which is highly possible) the 49ers will get the 5 seed. That is because Carolina will have lost to the Saints again, and will have a worse record than the 49ers (thus Carolina's tiebreaker advantage will not come into effect).

Re: Playoff scenarios (bring some aspirin)
We also have a chance of seaturds losing first playoff game which would give us homefield throughout playoffs(assuming we're #2 seed).

Re: Playoff scenarios (bring some aspirin)
I think the Eagles in Seattle in the playoffs is just as intriguing as Carolina in Seattle or SF in Seattle. I wouldn't discount them. The Eagles are not a dominant team but if they and that offense are firing at 100% they can be pretty scary. And they're good on the road; better on the road than the Saints.

Re: Playoff scenarios (bring some aspirin)
They are getting better on D even just this year....the Eagles D has had nine straight games of 21 points or fewer. Again, I'm not sunshine pumping them, but I do think they have some matchups that would be favorable against the Seahawks, since everyone is rooting for some team to take the Hawks out of the playoffs before the Saints have to go out there again.
