BROOKS VS DELHOMME-STATS
But it\'s not about stats, it\'s about leadership. Delhomme has been to the SB. Aaron hasn\'t. Brooks doesn\'t know how to lead the Saints to wins... ...taking sarcasm hat off. Oh wait. Brooks has better stats and his team has more wins. Hmmmm. SFIAH |

BROOKS VS DELHOMME-STATS
Well, the haters will point out that JD has no running game and only 1 legit receiver. But the same guys forgot the Panther defense last year and how scary they were. They remember how Jake got in a player\'s face and told him to get his head in the game. But I guess Jake stopped being a great leader, since they have a bad record, eh?
Oops. I had my sarcasm hat on...sorry. |

BROOKS VS DELHOMME-STATS
This debate doesn\'t really matter. it was clear after last season that had JD been our starting QB, the Saints still would not have made the superbowl. The D was just too bad.
JD got into a great situation last year and the team got on a roll. I felt all year that they were playing above their heads and were getting a lot of lucky breaks, but they did make a good showing in the SB. It has now been nearly 2 full seasons since JD has been a Saint. Let\'s forget about him in terms of ever having been on this team and, if you want to bring him up, do it in an \'I\'m rooting for the homeboy\' sort of way. End the AB/JD comparisons...it\'s really not relevant. |

I think it is especially not fair for last year since Jake had a lights out defense to help hi m out. And not fair for this year cause for their situations to be equal, AB would have to play without Horn(Smith), Deuce(Davis), Stecker(Foster), Charles Grant(Jenkins) and have an o-line that is worse than ours at blocking. Then you would be able to compare.

But in the Brooks vs. Delhomme debate, it\'s all about emotion. Brooks haters haven\'t listened to that argument for years. It doesn\'t matter about a poor defense, or poor coaching, or any other issue except for Brooks and his inability to lead the Saints to the SB like Delhomme did for the Panthers. If you want an example look no further then this very forum and the thread \"Brooks and the Saints are losers\" right here: http://www.blackandgold.net/site/mod...hread&tid=6769 A snippet:

Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO
Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |

BROOKS VS DELHOMME-STATS
Because of all the injuries on Carolina\'s Offence, defence\'s are sending the house on almost every play and since all there play makers are the ones who are getting hurt the D doesn\'t have to worry about getting beat. Which IMO that\'s why Delhomme has bad numbers this year because he is by him self out there.

BROOKS VS DELHOMME-STATS
I look at this thread and find that I have been quoted and also a link to my thread. I am honored. As a wise man once said, \"It doesn\'t matter whether they are talking good or bad about you, as long as they are talking about you!\"
