Is it time to put TE back on our list of team needs?
I'm thinking "yes". Boo Williams has been non-existent for the most part this season. He drops too many balls, doesn't get open enough, and isn't a very good blocker at all. Ernie Conwell, while he is a pretty good blocker, is a terrible receiver and a liability in the passing game. A good, consistent TE would make our offense work much better, and frankly, I don't see anyone on our current roster filling that role. Maybe it's time to give Zach Hilton a shot? At worst he'd be the 2nd coming of John Farquhar, and he really wasn't too bad.

Is it time to put TE back on our list of team needs?
We dont need a TE we got Lamont Hall back lol... TE is ONE of the needs, but I still think what we have is the coaches under utilizing our players strong points. We are not a power running team. We have 2 AVG. blocking TEs and NO Oline, but we line up like we are a smash mouth team in a 2 TE set. If we would spread the field more with our depth at WR and stretch it with the speed they ALL posses then maybe we could get a short dump route with the TE or a draw to Deuce. Maybe the CBs would play off and that stupid F\'n WR screen would work for more than 1 yard. (Someone should tell them that play is meant for big power possession WRs who can break a tackle not speedy WRs!!!) We send Boo Williams deep more than we do Stallworth! Boo is big and has hands prolly better than Stallworth at least they drop about the same amount. Maybe Brooks needs to take something off them, but you cant blame him while he is running for his life and trying to make a play. I look at GreenBay with Bubba Franks and think how important is a TE? I LOVE the TE, but Franks is a great TE who is seldomly used now. Then you look at SD, Miami and Dallas and they all have great TE production... usually on short routes then a broken tackle and they get decent yards... How many teams send the TE deep? I think our TEs arent great, but at the same tyme they are just as productive as alot of the TEs in the league. Worse than some, but better than others... TEs just arent a glearing need at this tyme. In my opinion... but deffiantly sumthing to look at in the later rounds of the draft...

TE is nowhere close to any of our top needs. Williams is good and getting better. And who else to have on your depth chart than Conwell? Hall is a good kid too. Our line was playing ole with the Raiders all day and giving AB like 2 secs. to make up his mind. Deuce couldn\'t run b/c the only guys effectively blocking were Bentley and Karney. We need a better tackle and guard set on offense. Riley looks like he can\'t push away from the table, and Jacox was standing around waiting for his pizza to be delivered more times than he was putting a hat on someone. Then we need to talk about SS and DT (again). Bellamy won\'t be there forever and Sullivan never really has been there. Odd since Grant plays his A.. off and they were mates at UGA.

I want nothing more than for Mitchell to step in and do the work. I was pissed when he went down to a cheap injury in a preseason game last year, but kid should have won the job in camp like he was supposed to. He\'s bigger and faster and Bellamy still kept it.
If he learns from his Special Teams work, he probably will grab it next season, but: 1) As a Saints fan, I grow tired of saying next season all the time, and 2) There are going to be some pretty good kids coming out at SS this year and we will have the picks for it. |

i think once you see karney(fb)..start to mature more in the blocking...recieveing..and picking up the blitz especially.....we will be able to use less of the 2 te set..i think boo will be adequate...not phenom by any means...but with the rbs name saying mcallister on the back..you dont need to give him much...by the way..brooks is gone after this year..mark it down
