We all spout off when we get pissed, doesn't mean we are not "bright"... And no I don't want Brees cut or benched

I'm not sure if it was the right stage for Payton to start Armstead on. But I think it was good to see what he could bring to what has been a bad stretch for this offensive line.

all in all he looked better than i thought. i only saw one blown assignment on a stunt. once he got beaten plan and simple. other than that i think we might have something with him

Dont think he did too bad... the sacks came partially on brees holding the ball. Yhe run game looked better.

Guys, I think Armstead was responsible for a good number of those sacks. Yes, I agree that Brees held the ball a bit longer than you would like. But I think its more that the receivers are not getting open down field as much as in the past.

All in all I thought his first game was so-so. I thought the Saints ran the ball better when going off the right side of the line anyway.

I don't think IQ is the issue. What I think we have are some fans who aren't properly taking their Cymbalta.

Check with your doctor first, but maybe more on game day, huh?

How is he responsible for a good number of them, and then you call out the receivers for not getting open and Drew holding the ball?

I am not someone that studies game film, but I only saw a couple of really bad plays on his part. Someone stated earlier he was beaten like a drum on one play, and then I saw another where he looked like he lost his guy. I don't think he looked any worse than Brown did the week before, and actually considering he is a rookie from a small school and was going against someone in the same ballpark as Brown went against the week before I think he could do well.

Based on what I have seen this year when you look at an overall picture I think out biggest need is a center that can take care of blocking assignments and actually hold his own. Everyone know Drew needs stronger players up front to open lanes, it seems that Evans and Grubbs can hold their own but constantly are helping De la Puenta and when Drew cannot step up the pressure from the tackles can get to him easier.

When you have an overall downgrade across the line everything goes bad. good Center with Grubbs and Evans and I think the Saints will be much better as long as Armstead progresses.
