In the new England game drew had 36 passing attempts and 26 rushing attempts. Close to his lowest pass attempts all season. I understand they were close games... What I am saying is that there is no evidence that running more is THE key to anything. |

We were 5-0 and hadn't run for sh**, other than Robinson garbage runs against Arizona. We beat Chicago, in Chicago, with 64 yards rushing. We have Brees, and Graham, and Still, Colston, Moore, Sproles, PT, etc. Throw it. Let's save the tired 'we have to run' for Lombardi, Noll and Ditka. Times have changed |

We need to burn long in the passing game... Their strength is their LBs in coverage.

But, to me, the genius was on the D. We stopped Shady -- made Foles beat us. He couldn't -- even without much of a pass rush -- but what do I know -- except in Rob I trust. I have a question -- who was this O-Line that showed up tonight -- and where have they been all season? |

There were literally games where 3/4 of our rushing attempts were tackled 1-2 yards behind the line of scrimmage. Drew had a completely different second 1/2 than the first. He has always been the key to a victory. He settled down in the second half and started taking what they would give him instead of trying to force passes like he did in the first half. |

Re: Run Game Key to Winning on the Road
This is the perfect setup , we suck on the road and go against a team that sucks at home !! Plus ... Our offense hasn't been on point as of late , watching film on chip Kelly's offense I'm sure is going to give Sean Payton some new arsenal to steal , if you watch them closely , their routes are ingenious , the spacing for lesean McCoy is innovative always giving him a cutback lane.
If our offense revs up for this game and can steal a few wrinkles just for the playoffs , we're going to be a buzz saw |

Re: Run Game Key to Winning on the Road
Throw out the regular season. The playoffs are a whole other animal. All teams face must win situations . I think our chances are pretty good against the Eagles. You hear the cliche about just do your job because it is true.Focus is very key to optimized performance.Players sometimes get in trouble in these big games trying to do too much. Forcing throws ,jumping routes etc..I played rugby at all-star level and the coaches always stressed that the things that got you to the all-star level was ding your job better than your opponents. It really is that simple. The only team that really scares me is the Seahawks. They are beatable if we do our jobs.GO Saints
