Yeah, that surprised me too. Would've made sense if it were about the business of the NFL.

Maybe they're testing the waters for a sports page.

Take it to the smack talk area.

I wonder if the nfl or the refs have read any of the 100 or so articles on this. I can't imagine that they really want to have the story line be that they purposely favored the seahags.

Whatcha bet payton sent the league office an inquiry on interpretation just so it's something that he can go apesh it on the sidelines if the inequality presents.

If it was the Saints DBs playing like that we wouldn't say a word. Make solutions, not excuses.

Actually it's a completely legal tactic to totally mug wide receivers if the quarterback is outside the pocket. Your CB's have to be insanely athletic and physical to do it and know EXACTLY where the quarterback is while still covering their man. Not as easy as it seems.

that's bull****, you can only "mug" or press receivers within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. As long as the QB is behind the line of scrimmage(doesn't matter where), defensive pass interference is still in effect down the field

The tackle box rule only exists for intentional grounding
