Free-agent safety Louis Delmas visited New Orleans Saints on Thursday, sources say | NOLA.com

We finally got two safeties off the roster that couldn't cover and we're gonna geaux and overpay for this one?!?

Lions fans sure seemed relieved to see this guy geaux...

I hope we are only "kicking the tires" with Delmas. Is he an upgrade over Harper or Jenkins? Not so sure he is but that past knee issue concerns me more than anything.

Totally agree. He's a quality football player and he gave some spark and pop at MLB when he was afforded an opportunity...

Probably because he's faster than Lofton which even the Falcons knew and we somehow ignored...

Thinking we might be able to get this guy on the cheap, would be nice to have a vet if Moore is really going to get cut:

Jason Avant, WR for the Philadelphia Eagles at NFL.com

Always liked Avant. He is a chain-mover. Plays a lot like David Patten, if you're looking for a recent Saints analogue.

Gauging value of St. Louis Rams offensive lineman Rodger Saffold - ESPN

And he's probably worth that kind of money; what I like about him is that he's got familiarity with those NFC pass rushers...

The NFL's salary cap could break $150 million by 2016 - ESPN

Sure hope we can start to leave ourselves more cap room flexibility; being up against the cap every season is bad management...
