I could never see Sprouls gone
Granted, get a return man and let him focus in the offense

Pierre our most valuable back

It would cost more to get someone of equal talent to replace them

Lance has lost a step and his celebratory antics even when losing badly dont jive with the team directive

Smith - fork in him,

Harper is good in run defense but gets burnt

Loomis will surprise us

Remember he is the guy who upgraded to Graham from shockey

other than those 77 catches?

I know Loomis will likely restructure several players but this kinda gives yo a good indicator who may be asked to restructure or clean out their locker..

Approximated cap savings if cut (hopefully some restructure)...

Cap hit minus dead money = Cap savings if cut
Will Smith - 13,902,451 - 2,352,451 = 11,550,000
Darren Sproles - 4,250,000 - 750,000 = 3,500,000
Jabari Greer - 5,825,000 – 2,650,000 = 3,175,000
Pierre Thomas – 2,900,000 – 0 = 2,900,000
Lance Moore - 5,068,750 - 2,357,500 = 2,711,250
Roman Harper - 5,870,000 - 3,690,000 = 2,180,000
Mark Ingram - 2,359,875 - 973,500 = 1,386,375
Patrick Robinson - 2,804,333 - 1,446,833 = 1,357,500

a question of who you want and who you need
I think we still 'need' a healthy Greer.
We want Sproles and Moore, but both had down years and can be cheaply replaced
as 'Cat said, what about Bunkley at $5 mill? got to restructure or replace

What no Bunkley..... I would bring back Robinson, sproles, Moore.... No reason for the rest.... Love them all but something has got to give for us to get out of NFL debt for once....

I thought Bunkley played very well, so I don't see him as a cut candidate.

First off, I don't think anyone in here is eager to let anybody go.... OK .... I take that back..... Everybody in here wants that 11.5 million that Will Smith is worth gone immediately.... Sorry.. I had a point.....

Yeah, nobody wants to see PT gone... I understand his effectiveness. But I long to get away from carrying 5 $%^# Running Backs on the roster when only three are needed....... You wanna know the reason we have a " screen game"? It's mostly because we don't have a run game.... We have become a slave to the screen.... And teams realize it, and they make us pay for it........... bottom line, Can I get some one to come in and run the screen like PT, probably not...... But can I get a truck Alfred Morris type running back from this draft to run the damn ball better so we won't have to rely on the screen so much.... That's more likely....

Apparantly you only watched the Saints last two games and missed the three years prior.
Ingram has had plenty of chances and failed to deliver. Robinson is the future when it comes to a bruiser back who can get the tough short yards.
Ingrams fumble was the turning point of that game.
And what are you like 12?[/

He finish this season stronger than any of the other backs with the exception of Khiry when he got the ball. Without Ingram we definitely don't beat Philly. You must be a Ingram hater. He had his most successful year this year once he got healthy and you think the Saints are going to possibly cut him ? Good thing you aren't a GM

Bringing up Ingram's prior years is just useless. Ingram ran the ball very well towards the end of the year, when healthy. The NFL is a what have you done for me lately kinda league. Just ask Garrett Hartley.

I am a
Ingram hater.... And it's not so much hate as it is seeing him as being the long term solution at the running back position...I respect him for what he did in Philly, it took us from his rookie season until then to see any of that.... It wasn't enough for to me from trading him.( if I was a GM ) His inconsistency is what it for me.....

Why be an Ingram hater? Him and Khiry is the future for the Saints. Ingram will be even better next year
